Every effort will keep to the above itinerary, but as this is adventure travel in a remote mountain region, we cannot guarantee it! Experience Required: The Trek is suitable for keen walkers who can walk for 6 – 7 hours a day, with a light rucksack. Some of the days are quite long, and the walking feels more strenuous at altitude. Generally, the trail is on the right track, but occasionally it will be uneven and rocky.
Is Nepal safe? Is someone travelling alone, especially a woman safe with your agency?
Yes, Nepal is not really a dangerous country, probably safer than your home country. We are even specialized for a single person or a small group, so in all our treks we take personal responsibility for your well-being and are careful to ensure a safer trip.
Can I get a Nepalese visa upon arrival?

Can you pick us up when we arrive at the airport?
We have chosen to welcome our customers who have booked an organized stay. We do not take any supplements. When booking the trip and after confirming your flight details, we come to welcome you at the airport.
I have never done a trek before. Am I physically fit enough to hike in the Himalayas?
Nepal offers such a diversity of circuits that there are many possibilities for new trekkers. We can find the trek best suited to your experience, your wish and your physical condition.
Can your company take care of domestic flights, hotel reservations and any other services we may need?
Yes, there is a special service that takes care of this and any special requests.
What is the best season for hiking in the Himalayas?
The best periods are from September to December and from February to May. In principle, January is reserved for excursions, safaris or low-altitude treks. However, for Dolpo, Mustang and some regions of Tibet, the best period is from May to August because these areas are spared from the monsoon rains.
What is the recommended number of people for a trek?
We ask for a minimum of 2 people for particular regions such as Mustang, Nar -Phu, Dolpo, Manaslu and Kanchenjunga. Only one person is not a problem for the usual treks such as Annapurna, Everest and Langtang. Limiting the group to 8 people is a guarantee of good success for a trek.
How long does a trek take?
In general, the duration depends on your availability, your interest and the chosen region. It can range from 2 – 3 days to a full month or more if desired. We can organize excursions, cultural visits to villages and rest days during your stay. It is up to you to decide for yourself the length of your trek.
How are the accommodations?
It is a combination of guesthouses, hotels and homestay lodges. We encourage all Everest, Annapurna and Langtang trekkers to try our homestay lodges. Many years of experience along all these routes have enabled us to choose the most pleasant, warm and clean accommodations with the most beautiful views. Most of these accommodations have running water. Many have hot showers. But we dissuade our group from using the hot water produced by the wood fire in order to limit the use of the forests. Deforestation is an important environmental issue in Nepal. Significant assistance is provided to assist villages in this area.
What type of insurance should I take? Can I get one in Nepal?
For a trek in the Himalayas, insurance is required to cover the cost of medical assistance and evacuation. If it is easier to get insurance in your home country or if you already have one that is better, otherwise we can also help you find one in Nepal. Prices and guarantees will depend on your wishes and your age.
What equipment is needed? What should I personally bring?
We supply standard-quality sleeping bags, jackets, tents, mattresses and cooking equipment. You must bring your personal effects, trekking shoes, backpack…
What is the food, and drinks during the trek? Can I bring some food?
As it is our job, we are used to preparing meals for Westerners. Hygiene standards in the kitchen are respected in camp or lodge. Our guides always inspect the kitchens of the lodges to ensure the freshness, cleanliness and quality of the meals. For water, it is possible to get bottles but it is not ideal for the environment. Instead, we suggest using boiled water and purifying it with tablets. This precaution is sufficient. You are welcome to bring any special energy foods that you are using.
How much pocket money can I bring for the trek?
The cost of the trip covers most of the expenses of the trek. What more you want to pack is up to you.
A cold drink or beer can be enjoyed after a long day of walking. Souvenirs, gifts, laundry, communications, and tips… represent personal expenses. We advise you not to carry too much cash but rather to have a Visa card; there are distributors in most towns.
What is the equipment and insurance of your staff?
Our porters, chefs, and guides are all well enough and have insurance. Best Nepal Trek provides them with good quality equipment and good insurance covering mountain risks for treks. Our team where we are both employees and directors. So we are demanding the health and safety of staff.
Can the altitude bother me?
Altitude sickness can be inconvenient for those arriving from sea level. Because of this, we carefully craft our itineraries to give you enough time to acclimate to the altitude. When you exhibit symptoms of altitude sickness, our guides will keep an eye on you.
What happens if there is a problem during the trek?
Our guides are prepared to address basic issues that may arise. However, if there is a more serious emergency, outside help may be needed. If this is the case, repatriation by helicopter is possible and we arrange with the rescue company the duration and the cost of the evacuation until the insurance reimburses you. For this, you must have your own insurance before arrival in Nepal.
What kind of guides do you have?

All our guides have their government license, speak fluent English and have a thorough knowledge of the different circuits of the trek. Our guides are attentive and professional.
What about our luggage?
1 Porter was shared between 2 participants, and they take a maximum load of 12kgs per participant. You may keep things you will not use on the trek at our hotel in Kathmandu.
What will the temperature be?
The atmospheric temperature fluctuates between -10 to 25 degrees throughout the day.
What equipment should you take with you?
Temperatures will be high while we are walking, and exposure to the heat and wind is our main worry. To protect yourselves, you can wear long trekking pants or convertibles, in case it gets too warm, and a dry-fit long-sleeve top and have the rain shell or outer waterproof layer accessible. You’ll need your fleece or maybe a down jacket for those who are more afraid of cold when we reach the lodgings or at night to keep warm.
Is there electricity in the mountains?
Yes in most treks there is electricity and solar panels for light, battery charging, razors and hair dryers. Nepal uses 200-240V. Sockets can be both round and flat. But someplace there are separate places to charge and it costs some rupees.
Can I get a visa for Tibet and travel there alone?
No, because of the Chinese Tibet Tourist Police, it is not possible for you to get a visa from KTM or travel alone in Tibet. The visa is provided for one group. Being an authorized tour operator, we can provide you with a visa and permit or any other document.
How do I book a trip to Tibet?
We just need the photocopy of your passport at least two weeks before the start of the trek and a financial advance for the cost of the formalities. We will need your passport upon arrival to collect the visa.
How do you prepare a first aid kit? What about Acute Mountain Sickness (AMS)?

AMS occurs to different people differently at different altitudes due to our tolerance level.
Signs of AMS include Dizziness, Nausea, Loss of Appetite, Fatigue or weakness, Shortness of breath, Drowsiness, and Fluctuation.

What are the necessary health and what to do?
Adequate HYDRATION during the trek or activity. (It is alright to keep going to the look, it is right for you)
Sufficient SALT AND SUGAR in your bloodstream. (Basically, EAT)
Adequate WARM (Keep you warm and try to not lose as much heat as possible to maintain bodily functions)
PROPER BREATHING. (Breath deep into the diaphragm, breath slow and steady. Breathe through your nose. Do not pant.)
PROPER EXERTION. (Go at a constant, manageable pace, do not chase after the person in front, and try not to keep stopping and starting)
