So our journey will start after the early breakfast through Kathmandu valley passing the hill and wiling down zigzag road to the valley along the Prithivi highway. Along the ride, you’ll enjoy the beautiful terraced rice field. Our journey will continue the move towards Pokhara highway. But, after reaching the Dumre Bazaar we flow the previous small road northwards to Besisahar, overnight with a full board meal plan.
Drive from Beshisahar to Chame it will take around 4-5 hours. The distance is just 66 kilometers but it is mountain off-road so we most go slowly and enjoying the nature. The roads lead up to a beautiful valley up to the desert area of Manang village but it is not a good idea to force directly to Manang because we must think about Altitude sickness (AMS). Our best suggestion is to start hiking after Chame for better acclimatization. So after reach the Chame you can explore the area. Chame is the Headquarter of Manang District, overnight with Full board meal plan.
From the Chame we flowing the right bank of the Marshyangdi River passing through beautiful landscape with dense forest. Along the valley when you’ll reach the Dhukur Pokhari hill then you will enjoy majestic views of rocky mountain and snow-capped peaks. From here again your trails go continue with flat trails to Pisang village, overnight with full board meal plan.
Pisang is a beautiful place and also there are two trails lower part and upper part both are the fantastic trail presents magnificent vista of Annapurna range and Pisang peak. The trail passes through alpine pine forest with dramatic landscape, you can see slowly the tree line is going to off because of cold and dry climate. After reaching the Braka village stops for the lunch and visit the Braka monastery and continue to Manang, overnight full board meal plan.
This is the Acclimatization day after late breakfast heading towards to Gangapurna Lake and climb to next hill for acclimatize. After exploring the hill and enjoying the views if you like we can go to Braka village again if not then back to Manang village, overnight full board meal plan.
After regular breakfast trails lead to us gradually ascending to the old village of Tenki Manang and continues to ascend the Valley gyrating northwest to Ghunsa. From here the trail goes gradually ascend through meadows where horses and yaks graze around. After that trail goes gradual flat and we cross a small river passes through an ancient old Mani wall in a lovely pasture to reaches Yak Kharka, overnight full board meal plan.
“Thorang Phedi” it means (Base of the Thorang Mountain). From the Yak Kharka trails goes again gradual ascend and cross the suspension bridge to reach Lader. After that again we ascend furthermore pass through massive rock face and rock falling area to reaching Thorang Phedi. Along the trails, you can see beautiful vista of snow-capped mountains and some Mountain Goat (Blue Sheep). This is the last village in Manang valley before Thorong La pass, overnight in Thorang Phedi with a full board meal plan.
This is our hardest and longest day comparing the whole trip. After early breakfast, we heading to Crossing Thorong La pass which is one of the highest passes in the world. From the beginning trails goes steep ascending till to top of Thorang La. Crossing the Thorang-La pass is always easy and best direction from Manang valley. This day you have to weak up around 3:30 AM have breakfast and around 4:30 should leave. When you will reach the top of pass then you can realize the journey was worth it. After enjoying the views and taking some memorable photos we heading descend towards Muktinath which is another base of Thorong La pass in Mustang valley, overnight in Muktinath with a full board meal plan.
Today after breakfast we visit Muktinath Temple. It is the most popular and important pilgrimage site for both Hindus and Buddhists people. Especially there are Hindu God Vishnu Temple and Buddhist Monastery. Inside the monastery, you can see natural fire inside the whole and you can hear water also running inside. After that, we descend to step down to dry barren hillside base toward Kagbeni. The dry barren landscape of Mustang area resembles Tibet. After the Kagbeni the trail goes to windy valley along the Kali Gandaki River bank and then we reach Mustang District Headquarter of Jomsom. So today is our last day an evening enjoying the last dinner with altogether and saying many thanks for staff, overnight at Jomsom with full board meal plan.
After the breakfast fly back to Pokhara, during your flight offer you magnificent vista of the Mt, Dhaulagiri which is (8,167m.), Nilgiri, whole Annapurna range and Mt. Fishtail. After reaching the Pokhara we will wait to fly back to Kathmandu and transfer to Hotel with B.B Plan.
