The Tamang people make up the majority of the population in this area. Nepal has various ethnic groupings, including the Tamang people. Tamang is a Tibeto-Burmese language that they speak. They primarily inhabit the north and east, particularly the Ganesh Himal. Their culture is closely related to that of the Tibetans and Sherpas.”

This path provides a spectacular view of the mountains and the excellence of traditional Buddhist cultures. Thus, the architecture of their houses and the experience of an ancient monastery are the main highlights of the wilderness. The beautiful village of Gatlang, traditional dresses and typical dances, and the snow-capped mountains are the main attraction. Goljung and Gatlang are the traditional villages of Tamang.

The surrounding view of the delightful mountains can be seen with the naked eye. Such as Mt. Langtang, Mt. Ganesh Himal, Mt. Sanjen Himal and other mountains. Thus, looking forward to Bahundanda, you’ll see the viewpoint situated near the villages. Also, it is said that the members of Tibetan people and visitors have discovered them. Away from society, they cherish their special culture. In the neighbourhood of tigers, leopards, pandas and musk deer, the Tamangs live without harm to themselves. Rhododendrons and other trees grow into a lovely flowering field in March and April. It’s looking more beautiful, with many species of birds and colourful butterflies hanging around. Thus you’ll discover yourself here and have an unforgettable encounter with the descendants of the Tibetans.

The Tamangs still dress in stylish clothing, and they decorate their houses with intricate carvings of wood. And this trip will be unique with a spectacular view of the snowy Himalayas! An extraordinary of this trek is the fantastic views of Langtang Lirung, Ganesh Himal, Tibetan mountains, and different crests. Tamang Heritage trail trekking begins either from Dhunche or Syabrubesi and passes through Goljung, Gatlang, Chilime, Tatopani, Nagthali, Thuman, and Briddim. So if the people have holidays, then they can also continue to the Langtang Valley trek and end somewhere in Shyabru Benshi or Dunche.

The tour begins with your arrival in Kathmandu, the capital city and the starting point of most popular trekking packages towards the north. You will be picked up from Tribhuvan International Airport and transferred to the hotel by our representative. You will enjoy a warm welcome with delicious Nepali cuisine. Further details will be provided to you in the evening.

Early morning breakfast drive toward Shyabrubesi by local bus, passing through the beautiful landscape, Trisuli bazaar, and Dunche “Headquarters of Rasuwa District”. The road is good till Betrawoti. After that, it’s bumpy because it's a mountain road every year washed by rain and landslides. After reaching Shyabrubesi, spend the night at the lodge.

After one and a half hours of climbing from Syabru Besi, we finally reach the place from where a stunning view of Ganesh-Himal, the Gosaikund mountain range, and the Golyang valley opens. Now we need to go down to the valley to eat. The road down will take about an hour on foot. Then we will find ourselves in the beautiful village of Tamangs-Gatlang, located just 3 hours from the valley. Khad (white scarves) will give us guests as guests, and in the house, we will be treated with raksi drinks along with a wonderful song in the local language. We will also be shown the traditional dance of Syabru. We will spend the night.

It will be the longest day of the entire route, which will take about 7 hours. The path begins with a descent to Tangbochet (near the village of Chilime) along the Bhote-Kosi River. There we will stop for lunch, after which we will head up over the suspension bridge. The climb will continue until Tatopani, which by the way, in the local language translates as "hot water". There we can really swim in the hot springs in the lap of nature. Locals believe that bathing in these waters prolongs life and heals diseases. We will have lunch and sleep at the local tea house.

We are heading towards Thuman up to Nagtali Dandu (3300 m), a place where a lot of greenery grows and a wonderful view of the snowy Himalayas opens. We will have lunch in the village. And then we will go up to Nagtali Danda. Here we are waiting for a beautiful panorama of the surrounding mountains as well as a cup of delicious tea. Furthermore, we continue descending on a beautiful path to Thuman.

We should start our trip and take the classic trade route to Tibet down to the village of Timure; as a matter of fact, Tibet is closer than you expect, only three hours' walk away. If time is on our side, then we can set off for a short hike to Rasuwagadhi, an historic site witnessing a war between Nepal and Tibet centuries ago. We can cross a bridge from here and put our foot in, but the sensitivity of the border area, as well as police patrols and armed security, make it impossible to get there. From Rasuwagadhi, we have to walk back to Timure to pursue the primary trail.

Eventually, we should move through the rhododendron forest and remain on the route to Briddim (2,230 m). Showcasing Tibet-influenced culture and roofed stone houses with broken slate, this Tamang village provides plenty of chances to witness their typical way of life. Instead, we may steeply descend to the Bhote Koshi River and proceed by a suspension bridge to the other side of the river and then travel to Lingling Village. A 2-3-hour uphill climb should carry us to Briddim (2,230 m).

It is the eighth day of our journey and we are now negotiating to reach Syabrubesi (1450 m) outside the pine forests. We are going to move down the road, moving forward through the small communities and farmlands. On the way, you will admire the beautiful views of the nearby hills and peaceful landscapes. provided a first-hand understanding of Nepal's geological and cultural grandeur.

After breakfast, drives back to Kathmandu through the mountain road with a local bus, but if you are interested in a private vehicle, it’s also possible to please communicate with your guide but the cost is extra. After reaching Kathmandu, transfer to the hotel. Evening farewell dinner in a Nepali cultural restaurant.

After breakfast, we will prepare for our trip and collect the necessary things from our checklist needed for our trek. We will wrap up the preparations for lunch. After a delicious lunch, we will set off for sightseeing in the Kathmandu valley. We will cover major religious sites. For example, Pashupatinath (a major holy site for Hindus), Swayambhunath (also known as the monkey temple), and Boudhanath (one of the largest stupas in the world). We will also visit Basantapur Durbar Square, a historical site built in medieval times by the Malla and Shah Kings. The Durbar Square is a series of temples and palaces where you can observe art in the form of woodwork, stonework, etc.

Every beautiful journey has its end, and this is the last day of your stay in this beautiful country, Nepal, and the completion of the awesome Tamang Heritage Trail Trek.
